Evolution
Humanists agree that Darwin's theory of
selection, or "the survival of the fittest
to have offspring" is the main process by
which plants and animals have evolved.
The evidence is overwhelming that
evolution from the simplest living things
has produced millions of species of higher
plants and animals now on earth.
Darwin's theory is now combined with
modern knowledge of genetics and DNA
to make neoDarwinism. Humanists think
that the idea of evolution can be applied
to the development of human society and
its moral principles.
