Notes on library display material

Each topic has a separate page. These are shown as A4 format but it would be preferable to print them as A3 if you can find a larger printer.

Posters on related topics were grouped and additional material used. We used some large frames with clear plastic fronts from IKEA.

• Humanism through the ages
• Humanist beliefs
• Social Events

Our first display was in Newcastle public library which has a very large island glass case in the foyer. For this, we used the accessories shown in the Summary of Suggested Display Materials.

We only used the posters and not the accessories in subsequent displays in smaller branch libraries.

We did not have anyone attending the stands but we did have plenty of takeaway items:
The Aims and Activity leaflet (which would need modifying or substituting for your own purposes).
and the Are You a Humanist leaflet.

We gained 35 new members from 4 separate displays!
